I have always taken care of people's animals as a young girl, college student, animal shelter manager and young professional. I taught High School science for ten years and was still taking care of my neighbors' animals. Eventually, I made a risky decision to leave teaching and worked at a local boarding kennel to regain experience in the pet care business.
I started the business in 2004. After three years of working alone, I began to hire some staff. "Home security is a big part of my business, so I'm very particular about anyone who works for me." The result is a qualified, caring staff, each working according to their preferences, locale and time frame.
At this time, we take care of dogs and cats, livestock (chickens, sheep and horses, etc), birds and fish. Best of all, these animals get to stay where they love to live. And their owners easily come and go for short or longer periods of time, assured of great home and pet care.
Stay at Home Pet Care has customers in all the Duluth neighborhoods, Hermantown, Proctor, Lakewood and Duluth Townships, Clover Valley, Knife River, Larsmont, Two Harbors, Silver Creek and by request, customers who live further out from these areas.
